21 days Upper Mustang and Annapurna Basecamp trek with Desire Adventures

My son and I had a great time trekking in Upper Mustang and doing the Annpurna Basecamp Trek right afterwards. We started our Trek in the beautiful and picturesque Marpha village after a 6 hours Jeep ride from Pokhara up the Kali Gandaki Valley.
It was a great experience to trek to the walled city of Lo Manthang near the tibetan border. We crossed mountain passes and spectacular desert like arid landscapes, the high Himalayan Mountains always in sight. We visited ancient monasteries and stayed in family run guesthouses in unspoiled villages.
The remaining days we trekked from Poon Hill to the Annapurna Basecamp and enjoyed the spectacular views of Machhapucchare and the Annapurnas.
As expected, the Desire Adventures team organised our trip perfectly and tailored it to our wishes. I was delighted to have Kishor as our mountain guide and Raju as our porter for the third time. They were always helpful and caring with passion and kindness.
