Pikey Peak trek is a newly opened trekking trail which lies south to the popular Everest treks. It is a relatively short trek and can be undertaken by anyone fit to travel. The close proximity to the Everest Himalayas offers the trekkers a great chance to enjoy the trek with less hassle. Along with the hospitality and culture of the Sherpa people, you can catch the mesmerizing sights of sunrise and sunset from Pikey Peak (4068m).

The Pikey Peak Trek offered by Desire Adventure is a full-board package covering entire lodging and meals during the trek. Moreover, an English speaking guide, as well as provisions for domestic flights, national park, and trek permits, are also included in the package. However, the trip can always be customized according to your requirements, budget, or departure.

The 10-days trip trek starts with a scenic drive to Patale. You’ll trek past the rolling hills with cascading waterfalls, terraced fields, and pristine Sherpa village to Pikey Peak. The valley is home to the indigenous Sherpa tribe, the natives of Everest region. You can observe the beautiful rhododendron forests along with numerous exotic wildlife including Himalayan Monal (Lophophorus), Clouded leopard, golden jackal, and Himalayan wolf. You’ll also get to walk through the Rhododendron forest to the reach the vantage point at Pikey Peak. You can either drive or fly from Phaplu to Kathmandu. Experience Required and Other Info

The Pikey Peak Trek can be done by anyone with the capacity to walk for 5-6 hours a day. Our rule to avoid altitude sickness is to climb high and sleep low. The itinerary is designed to provide enough acclimatization during the trek and to ensure you remain fit and healthy throughout the trip.

Trekking has been commercialized in the last few years since Nepal was recognized as the most efficient country to trek. With growing commercialization comes competitive market. Nevertheless, our climbing Sherpas and team representatives along with the guides are required to have minimum of 5 years of experience with a certified license.

Importance to Sustainable Tourism:

We value the importance of sustainable economy and development. Thus, we hire local porters, guides and climbers to train them and give them a platform to work for themselves and their family. All our team members belong to local native groups and have been trained for trekking in the Himalayas and other regions of Nepal.

No exceptions with quality and equipments:

5:1 Client Guide Ratio

We maintain a 5:1 client guide ratio i.e. with every 5 clients we provide 1 guide. A team leader/guide with be appointed for a team of 5 trekkers in the group. Nevertheless, an assistant leader will also be provided with every addition of 5 pax. You will have 1 porter for 2 trekkers who will be carrying 25-30 kilograms of weight. We wish for your travels to be worthy and adventurous with no difficulties or hurdles.
