Starting near Ghorepani or other nearby points, the trail is less crowded than the traditional trekking routes, providing a serene alternative to the popular Poon Hill Trek. The Ghorepani to Mohare Danda section is particularly rewarding, with picturesque views and an opportunity to explore the connection between these two iconic spots.

Detail Itinerary

The first day of the trek starts after your breakfast with a drive from Pokhara to Patichaur which takes about 2:00 to 2:30 hrs along the Beni- Baglung highway. After reaching Nayapul we will check-in our permits and continuous drive to another 30min for Patichaur.
After reaching Patichaur, we will start our trek to Lespar which takes about 5- 6 hrs. The trail from Patichaur to Lespar is straight and slightly ascending.

Overnight at Lespar

The second day of the Mohare danda trek starts with hiking from Lespar after the breakfast. Today we will walk about 6-7 hours in total. The journey begins with an ascending climb over the stairs for around 2:00 to 2:30 hr. After that, we trek to in the forest, along the way we can see the  beautiful sceneries includes hills, valley, and mountain . Once we reach at Mohare Danda, we can see the beautiful views of mountain peaks including Mt.Dhaulagiri, Mt. Fishtail, Mt.Tukuche Peak, Mt.Annapurna South, Mt.Annapurna I, Mt.Nilgiri, and many mountains others.

Overnight stay at Mohare Danda

Today we wake up early morning for the sunrise views. After the sunrise views, we will have our breakfast and trek towards Ghorepani. The trail is mostly the down hill to Ghorepani. It is a short hike and takes about 2-3 hours passing through poon hill. The Poon hill is an another view point for the sunrise views.

Overnight stay at Ghorepani
 

Today is the day four of our trek, we hike early in the morning for the Poonhill, it takes about 45min to 1 hour, ascending on the stairway to reach poon hill. This  is very crowded view point compared to Mohare Danda and you can see many tourists in the viewpoint as well. After enjoying the sunrise view from Poon hill we trek to Ghorepani, after breakfast at Ghorepani we will trek to Nayapul, it is mostly downhill and takes about 6-7 hours. After reaching at Nayapul we will take a car to Pokhara through Beni Baglung highway, takes 1.5 hours

Hands - Lightweight gloves, heavy-weight gloves/mittens with a waterproof outer shell

Lower body - Underwear (4), hiking shorts (2), lightweight cotton long pants, light and expedition weight thermal bottoms, Fleece or wool pants, waterproof (preferably breathable fabric) shell pants

Feet - Thin, light-wear inner socks (4), thick, warm wool hiking socks (4), hiking boots with spare laces, camp shoes (sneakers and/or sandals), gaiters.

Accessories - Headlamp with spare bulb and batteries, small padlock or combination lock, basic first aid kit, large plastic bags (for keeping items dry inside trek bag), day pack, water bottles (2), hiking pole/walking sticks, small ear plugs, fanny bags for your valuables.

Toiletries – Soap, shampoo, toothbrush, small wash towel

Please leave your extra luggage in the hotel in Kathmandu (free storage is available) and pack as lightly as possible.
