Detail Itinerary
Board your flight to fly into the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. You will be met and greeted by one of the Desire Adventures company representatives at the arrival hall, who will also transfer you to the hotel booked for you in Kathmandu. Settle in at your hotel and your tour operator will meet you at your hotel to collect your passport, final payment and trip briefing. In the evening, you will go for visit the tourist hub, Thamel. You will then get back to the hotel for overnight stay.
On this day, we dedicate time to completing the necessary biometric procedures for your Tibet visa. You will visit the visa application center, where your fingerprints, photograph, and other required details will be recorded to meet Chinese immigration requirements.
Our team will guide you through the process, ensuring a smooth and hassle-free experience. Depending on the time and location, we may also use this day to explore nearby attractions or enjoy some leisure time to acclimatize before the journey ahead.

Start the day with breakfast at the hotel, then embark on a journey through Kathmandu Valley, discovering its majestic landmarks and rich heritage. You’ll visit four UNESCO World Heritage Sites, including Pashupatinath (a sacred Hindu temple devoted to Lord Shiva, the destroyer god), Swayambhunath (commonly known as the Monkey Temple), Boudhanath (the largest stupa in Nepal and one of the biggest in the world), and Kathmandu Durbar Square (a historic palace complex showcasing centuries of remarkable architecture). Throughout the tour, you’ll immerse yourself in the area's vibrant history, culture, and spiritual significance. This is a full-day guided city tour in a private vehicle. Afterward, you’ll be returned to your hotel for a restful overnight stay.

Today, explore the rich history and culture of Nepal with a visit to Bhaktapur and Patan. In Bhaktapur, walk through ancient streets filled with beautifully preserved temples, traditional houses, and local craftsmen at work. Visit highlights like the Nyatapola Temple, Pottery Square, and Bhaktapur Durbar Square. After lunch, head to Patan, a city known for its incredible art and architecture. Discover the stunning Patan Durbar Square, the Golden Temple, and the Patan Museum. This day is a journey into Nepal’s artistic and spiritual heritage, offering a glimpse into its timeless traditions.

Leave Kathmandu early in the morning around 5:00 AM, with a packed breakfast. The scenic drive follows the Trisuli River and offers views of the Langtang mountains. Stop in Dhunche or Shyaprubeshi for lunch before continuing to the Nepal-Tibet border. After border formalities, meet your Tibetan guide and drive to Gyirong (25 km, 45 minutes). Check-in at your hotel and relax for the night.

Spend the day acclimatizing to the higher elevation. Visit Drakar Taso Hermitage (Milarepa’s meditation cave) and enjoy a short hike. In the afternoon, visit Pakba Monastery, built by the Tibetan King Songtsen Gampo. Return to your hotel for the night.

Leave Gyirong and head towards Saga, passing lush green valleys, waterfalls, and the Pelku Lake. Enjoy the scenic Tibetan plateau before reaching Saga, where you can explore or rest at your hotel.

Drive towards Mansarovar, passing the Yarlung Tsangpo (Brahmaputra River) and crossing Mayum La Pass. Enjoy views of the vast grasslands and snow-capped peaks. Once at Mansarovar, explore the lake and visit Jiwu Monastery.

In the morning, you can perform puja near Mansarovar Lake. Afterward, drive to Darchen, the starting point for the Kailash Kora trek. Spend the day resting and preparing for the upcoming trek.

Drive to Taraboche (Yama Dwar) the gateway to Mt. Kailash, and begin your circumambulation. Hike to Diraphuk, enjoying the scenic beauty along the way. Stay in Diraphuk and visit the Diraphuk Monastery.

The longest and toughest day of the trek. Hike through rugged terrain to reach Dolma La Pass (5660m). Afterward, descend to Zuthulphuk, passing Gauri Kunda Lake. Rest at the guest house in Zuthulphuk.

Hike back to Darchen, then drive to Saga for an overnight stay.

Trekking has been commercialized in the last few years since Nepal was recognized as the most efficient country to trek. With growing commercialization comes competitive market. Nevertheless, our climbing Sherpas and team representatives along with the guides are required to have minimum of 5 years of experience with a certified license.

We value the importance of sustainable economy and development. Thus, we hire local porters, guides and climbers to train them and give them a platform to work for themselves and their family. All our team members belong to local native groups and have been trained for trekking in the Himalayas and other regions of Nepal.

Our teams of guides are well trained with proper English speaking and communication skills via education and experience. We are also equipped with first-aid kits and trekking apparatus like oximeters, maps, first-aid kits and mobile phone for emergency. 5:1 Client Guide Ratio
We maintain a 5:1 client guide ratio i.e. with every 5 clients we provide 1 guide. A team leader/guide with be appointed for a team of 5 trekkers in the group. Nevertheless, an assistant leader will also be provided with every addition of 5 pax. You will have 1 porter for 2 trekkers who will be carrying 25-30 kilograms of weight. We wish for your travels to be worthy and adventurous with no difficulties or hurdles.
