We completed the Everest Base Camp Three Passes trek with Desire Adventures as a couple, looking for a challenging and meaningful journey. Among many agencies, Desire Adventures stood out by meeting all of our requirements at a reasonable price, and they took excellent care of us throughout the entire 18-day trip, from our arrival at Kathmandu Airport to our final departure.

Our guide, Dinesh, was full of bright and positive energy. Being with him always made the journey enjoyable, even on the toughest days. He constantly gave us helpful advice to ensure proper acclimatization—such as drinking plenty of water, taking enough rest, and avoiding overpacing. Thanks to his guidance, we adapted well to the altitude and were able to complete the entire trek safely and successfully.

Since December is winter in the Himalayas, temperatures drop significantly at night and water often freezes. As we gained altitude, some lodges no longer provided tap water, making it essential to purchase bottled mineral water. Winter trekkers should keep this in mind and make sure to carry enough cash.

Occasionally, we saw solo trekkers in the Khumbu region, but in winter especially, trails can be covered with snow and become difficult to follow. This can be extremely dangerous, so we strongly recommend hiring a guide and porter rather than trekking alone.

If we ever return to Nepal for another trekking adventure, we will definitely choose Desire Adventures again. Highly recommended.
