Just completed the ABC trek. We had a group of 13. What an awesome experience - especially for someone who has no experience with these kinds of adventures. The scenery starts out as semi tropical forests and farm land and ends up with the most spectacular moutain vistas I have ever witnessed. Many will have seen photos of various moutain views before but nothing will ever match actually being there. We completed the trek during the first week of winter and the weather was just perfect. The hot springs were just what was required on the return journey for some sore muscles. Our guides proved their worth with our relentless questions (being foreigners we had plenty) and the sherpas were greatly appreciated carrying our various supplies along. We soon got to know the meaning of "Nepalese flat - a little bit up, a little bit down". Yeah right, for someone from Australia, "Nepalese flat" took a quite bit of effort. Food was always plentiful and our guide Nava, always made sure we were well fed and didn't miss anything.
We're certainly looking forward to another trek soon.
