Incredible trek in the Langtang Valley

An often underrated trekking region in Nepal, Langtang Valley has it all. Beautiful scenery, excellent trekking routes, comfortable tea houses, great food, and wonderful people. It is also quieter than the ever-popular Everest and Annapurna regions. 

Desire Adventures was fantastic. From the moment I booked the trek, all the way until the farewell dinner, they were on hand to answer any queries I had and organized everything beautifully. My guide, Prakash, was excellent. Having worked his way up from a porter many years ago, he is now a fantastic guide and a new friend of mine! He was the perfect balance between professional and fun. As a keen mountaineer myself, it was clear to me he had a wealth of knowledge on all things mountain: safety, weather, culture, and of course, the route. He really made my trip and I hope to trek with him again one day. My porter, Dan, was also excellent. He not only carried my bag for the duration of the trek without fuss but was an excellent sidekick to Prakash in making my trip enjoyable and safe. Navaraj, the company boss, was also excellent in organizing everything beforehand and taking on my feedback afterward.

Having a guide is invaluable, not only for your safety in the mountains but also for making your trip far more enjoyable - as it should be! During our trek, we came across many people without guides who were making wrong, and often unsafe decisions on the mountain.
